The commander of the Quds Force, who was assassinated about a year ago, won a commemorative display at the Millad Tower in the capital, Tehran.

The anniversary of the assassination of Quds Force commander of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards, Qassem Suleimani, included military exercises, billboards, mass demonstrations and a flurry of threats by senior regime officials against Israel and the United States.
Tonight, the authorities in Iran unveiled another memorial event, more bizarre than its predecessors and one intended for the general public.
In an impressive ceremony, the museum located in the Millad Tower, one of the hallmarks of the skyline of the capital Tehran, opened a display entirely dedicated to the terrorist rabbi killed by the US Air Force about a year ago at Baghdad airport.
At the heart of the new display is a life-size wax doll, in the style of those in Madame Tussauds around the world, of the assassinated general.
After the ceremony, which included a traditional band performance and speeches by senior Tehran municipality officials, crowds passed the strange statue kissing its head and taking selfies.
Fatma Suleimani, the daughter of a former Quds Force commander, also attended the event, along with well-known movie stars, and read a letter her father wrote to her a few months before he was assassinated.
