Radical leftist Ezra Navi passed away today (Saturday) at the age of 69, in the midst of a trial against him, after he was accused of passing information on Palestinians who sold land to Jews to the Preventive Security Service - which eliminated some of them.
The investigation against him was opened following an investigation of the "Fact" program broadcast in 2016. The indictment filed against him by the Jerusalem District Attorney's Office in the city Magistrate's Court, charged him with violating the Interim Agreement on the West Bank and Gaza Strip, which prohibits Israelis from serving Hersh "F.
In the materials documented in the interrogation and subsequently handed over to the police, Navi admitted to his assistant A., who had a connection to the death of Abu Khalil, a Palestinian resident of southern Mount Hebron.
Nawi says he provided the information to the Palestinian Preventive Security Service, who "treated" Abu Khalil, and then Abu Khalil fell ill and died.
"I got a stroke and was sick, and they blame me a little for it ... I have a hand in it. I transferred it to preventive security, I have no sentiments here," he said on the recording.
Navi also told A. that he had provided the details of land sellers and brokers who contacted him to the Palestinian security services several times.
Navi explains in the conversation that in order to prevent the sale of land to Jews, the PA kills Palestinian land sellers and forces Israeli citizens to leave the country.
Navi documented saying that "... (the Palestinian Authority) catches them, kills them. Before it kills them it beats them a lot, tortures them. First Zobor then Gazanga ...".
Navi was born in 1951 in Jerusalem to a family of immigrants from Iraq.
He was active in the youth movement of the Communist Party, MKI, and began his political activities in the second intifada, during which he was one of the founders of the Ta'ayush organization, which helped the Palestinians in the West Bank.
Over the years he has often gotten involved with the law and his conviction case has included the use of illegal weapons, transporting Palestinians without a visa, riots and assaulting police officers.
