ASM stops the bleeding

On a bad series of four defeats in five matches (including three in a row), Clermont was necessarily under pressure before moving to the Hamlet.

Despite a failed start to the match (read below), ASM managed to turn the tide and win against Section Paloise.

Authors of nice movements in attack, the players of Franck Azéma give themselves a little air.

Everything is not yet perfect, several key players are still missing from the pack but the Jaunards have regained some color.

And showed an aggressiveness and a desire that could be used for the future.

Delguy, the good pick for UBB

L'Argentin did not take long to find its footing in Gironde.

Arrived as the medical joker of Geoffrey Cros, Bautista Delguy quickly melted into the mold of the UBB.

Sunday, the former Jaguares player shone against LOU by scoring a brace in five minutes (17th, 22nd).

One of his breakthroughs was also decisive on the test of Marais (59th).

In his defense, he has played his personal card a few times, forgetting to give for his teammates.

Like when he pierces in the 39th minute, but gets penalized for crawling on the ground.

Flops

From Lyonnais to absent subscribers A

candidate for the title this season in Top 14, the LOU was largely dominated on Sunday by the UBB.

Pierre Mignoni's players have never been able to worry the Girondins.

Lack of sharpness, no inspiration ball in hand, the Rhodaniens were unable to stop the waves of Bordeaux.

This is the third defeat in four matches for the Lyonnais who will have to gain in consistency and efficiency if they want to go far this year.

The failed start of the Jaunards

In full doubt for several matches, Clermont experienced a serious ignition delay against Pau on Sunday.

Morgan Parra's teammates have indeed started this crucial match in the worst possible way: three tries conceded in 18 minutes.

Fortunately, Moala scored during this poor start, allowing his team to stay in the game.

And the Auvergnats did not see their old demons resurface since, without breaking up, they managed to get back into the game and win.

A success that will certainly do them good morale.

But an improvement that will have to be confirmed.

Pau can blame

itself By winning at the end of December on the wire against Sade Français Paris (29-27), the Section Paloise had put an end to a destitute series of six consecutive losses in Top 14. It was therefore necessary to confirm this Sunday facing Clermont.

And the Section Paloise, after a successful start to the match, took to the water and suffered the assaults of Clermontois found.

The Béarnais ended up collapsing and conceding a fourth defeat (and a draw against Lyon) at Hameau this season, after having folded against La Rochelle, Toulouse and Castres.

Pau is only 11th in the standings and will again this season fight for maintenance.

Far from the ambitions of the club ...
