Arnold Schwarzenegger compares the Capitol invasion to the Nazis' Crystal Night

The former actor and former governor of California posted a video on social media. He called for rebuilding a unit behind Joe Biden.


Sitting behind his sprawling desk, in front of the flags of the United States and California, Arnold Schwarzenegger, the cult actor-turned-Democratic governor of California addressed Americans in a noteworthy video.

He lashed out at Donald Trump and worried about the Capitol invasion.

Against a background of dramatic music, the actor recalls his childhood in Austria where he was born in 1947 after the war.

With a serious face, he does not hesitate to compare the invasion of the Capitol to the Kristallnacht, a pogrom against the Jews which took place in Germany on the night of November 9 to 10, 1938, perpetrated according to him, "

The former interpreter of Rocky, recalled the fragility of democracies, the tragic precedent of Austria and Europe, and the similarities between his father's Austria and America today.

Arnold Schwarzenegger, however, was confident in the ability of the United States to preserve democracy.
