A Lenggrieser should have lost his driver's license for now: he had an accident while drunk and then simply ran away.
However, witnesses had seen the whole thing.
Bad Tölz - A Lenggrieser now has a lot of trouble on his neck.
According to the police, the 51-year-old was on Thursday at 5:32 p.m. with his car coming from the roundabout at the Tölzer Stadtwerke up the Osterleite.
Before the underpass there, however, the Lenggrieser left the road to the right, rolled over a traffic sign and drove up the embankment to the left of the stairs for about 20 meters.
Accident driver collects torn off license plates
Several witnesses then observe how the person who caused the accident got out of the vehicle, picked up the torn-off front license plate and stowed it in the footwell of the car.
The man then left the scene of the accident without permission.
The patrol crew called was able to determine the owner of the vehicle on the basis of an advertising label on the car.
When questioned, the officers noticed a smell of alcohol.
A voluntary alcohol test showed a value of over 1.5 per thousand.

A blood sample was ordered at the hospital.
The police also secured the Lenggrieser's license.
The 51-year-old stated that he was not behind the wheel of the car at the time of the accident, but a witness could clearly identify him as the driver.
According to the police, the Lenggrieser now expect a driver's license to be withdrawn and a fine.
