Priority for special education teams: This is how the vaccination campaign for teaching staff will be conducted Israel today

After many disagreements, the teachers 'and kindergarten teachers' vaccination campaign is underway.

Ministry of Education, together with the Ministry of Health, has launched the vaccination campaign for all education and teaching staff in the education system.

According to Education Minister Yoav Galant's announcement, the vaccines will be given in the first phase to teaching staff and teaching staff who also teach during the current closure period.

These are special education, youth at risk and boarding schools for students at risk.

In light of this, starting this week they will be able to reach the HMOs and get vaccinated.

At the same time, the ministry is preparing to vaccinate the other teaching staff and education staff who teach in the system.

Vaccinations will be carried out in accordance with an orderly process established specifically for the purpose of this operation.

Regarding teaching staff, from today (Sunday) the Ministry of Education will send them a message via e-mail as well as a text message to the mobile device about the possibility of getting vaccinated.

The message will include an online link to fill out a vaccination registration form.

The form will be found on the teaching staff portal.

Details of a teaching employee who expresses his consent to be vaccinated will be forwarded to the Ministry of Health and the HMOs.

As stated, teaching staff in special education educational institutions, at-risk youth and boarding schools for at-risk students will be vaccinated first.  

At the same time, the directors of the educational institutions will update the education staffs (including: assistants, secretaries, fathers, etc.) from today on the possibility of receiving a vaccination summons, with the directors of the districts accompanying this process.

Registration will be done by the directors of the educational institutions through the portal of educational institutions. 

Also in this case, the details of an education staff member who expresses his consent to be vaccinated will be transferred to the Ministry of Health and the HMOs, and the HMOs will contact him proactively to make an appointment.

Both for teaching staff and for education staff - the first to be vaccinated are those who work in special education educational institutions, at-risk youth and boarding schools.
