The Algerian presidency announced that President Abdelmadjid Tebboune has traveled again to Germany to treat complications in his foot after he was previously infected with the new Corona virus.
"The treatment of complications was programmed before the return of President Tebboune from Germany, but his commitments within the country prevented this," the presidency stated in a post on its Facebook page today, noting that his foot injury is not an urgent situation.
Earlier today, President Tebboune said during a speech he addressed to the Algerian people before heading to Germany for treatment .. that his return to Germany was programmed with the aim of completing the treatment protocol, expressing his hope that the treatment period would be "very short."
Tebboune indicated that he will continue his presidential duties during the treatment period in Germany.
President Tebboune returned to his country on the twenty-ninth of last month, after a medical trip in Germany that began on the 28th of last October, and the Algerian presidency announced on the third of November that he had been infected with the Coronavirus.
