The theatrical celebration held by the Directorate of Theaters and Music on the stage of the Arab Cultural Center in Al-Hasakah, entitled “The lights will not fade”, included various theatrical scenes to celebrate the Arab Theater Day.

The theatrical scenes, in which a number of national theater artists participated, touched on the concerns, pains, and hopes of the father of arts through the hero of the work who embodied a theatrical character immersed in one of the woods dreaming that she will deliver a speech on the day of the theater and shine the lights on her to obtain a share of fame, but that remains an unfulfilled dream. The author and director of the work, the director of the National Theater, Ismail Khalaf, told the SANA reporter: “This is the first time that the National Theater in Al-Hasakeh presents the celebration of the Arab Theater Day. And touching on the concerns and hopes of citizens.

Culture Director Abdul Rahman Al-Sayed explained that the title of the celebration was a platform for workers in cultural affairs in the governorate over the past years, through the strong presence of the theater in the various cultural activities that were held and the allocation of theater-specific events and festivals, pointing to the presence of many artists from the province who achieved an attendance Distinguished in the local and Arab artistic arts arenas.

The roles of the work were represented by the artists Abdullah Al-Zahid, Faisal Hamid, Youssef Shaker, Ahmed Al-Saleh and Ginda Abdel-Qader, accompanied by a flute and a lute played by the artist Yahya Abdul-Jabbar.

The speech devoted to the celebration of Arab Theater Day, written this year by the Emirati playwright, Ismail Abdullah, was given by the Director of the National Theater in Hasaka, Ismail Khalaf, referring to the reality of the father of arts in the Arab world and the role of Syrian theater, especially in supporting and developing Arab theater.
