Seven mass vaccines against the corona virus opened today (Monday) across the UK, following a government race to vaccinate millions of people as a new strain of the disease rages across the kingdom.

The sites where the vaccination centers have been set up include football stadiums and horse racing tracks, and are located in the capital London, Bristol, Newcastle and Manchester, among others.

According to health services, they are supposed to vaccinate thousands of people a week and some more sites are expected to open later.

Hospitals and pharmacies are set to start offering the vaccine later this week, first to the most vulnerable populations, and the government hopes there will be enough doses for 12 million out of 56 million people in the UK by mid-February.

More than 1.2 million people have been vaccinated in the UK since the start of the Pfizer and Biontech vaccine on December 8.

The UK has since approved the vaccines of Oxford-Astraznica and Modern.

On Saturday the UK reached more than three million infected, and on Friday a record of 1,325 deaths from corona was recorded within 24 hours.

The death toll since the outbreak has reached more than 80,000, the highest in Europe along with Italy, and one of the highest in the world.

30,000 of them have died in the last month.

"We are mobilizing the government, the NHS (National Health Service) and the armed forces as part of a massive national effort," Health Minister Matt Hancock said.

Residents of nursing homes, aged 70 and over, frontline health workers and at-risk groups are first in line for vaccinations.

Britain is facing the worst outbreak of the disease since it spread in the country early last year.

The daily rate of diagnoses and deaths is breaking records, and authorities link this to mutations in the virus that increase the rate of infection and pressure on hospitals.

Government hospitals are facing collapse, and the UK is in its third closure, which will last until at least mid-February with an expectation of its extension.

"The next few weeks are going to be the worst weeks of this epidemic," England's chief medical adviser Chris Whitney warned today, describing the situation as "terrible".

He added that "before vaccines take effect, efforts must be stepped up to maintain the means of quarantine and distance.

The Minister of Immigration urged the public to act in accordance with the restrictions.

The Minister of Vaccines, amazed Zahavi, urged the public to act in accordance with the restrictions, which some believe are not tight enough.

"We need to make sure people wear masks in supermarkets and comply with the one-way system regulation," he told the Sky network.

"We do not want to be tougher because it is a rather severe closure, but we need people to act as if they have been infected with the virus so that we can control the epidemic while vaccinations continue."
