The cabinet meeting that was supposed to take place tomorrow (Tuesday) was canceled due to serious disagreements between Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Bnei Gantz.

At the meeting, the permanent appointments of Commissioner Yaakov (Kobi) Shabtai and IPS Commissioner Kati Perry were to be approved by a vote.
Ganz announced only last weekend that he supports the appointment of Saturn, who is now defined as acting commissioner, for a permanent appointment.
This is not the first time a cabinet meeting has been canceled during the eight-month tenure of the Netanyahu-Ganz government.
Only tonight in a speech in which he called for unity in the center-left bloc, Gantz attacked Netanyahu with harsh words.
"I shook the hand of a serial breach of promise," Ganz said at a news conference.
The Likud responded to the speech: "While politicians are busy with politics, Prime Minister Netanyahu brings millions of vaccines to all Israeli citizens - without exception - and leads Israel to be the first in the world to emerge from the corona, open the economy and return to life."
Defense Minister Bnei Gantz commented on the cancellation of the meeting on his Twitter page: "The Israel Police will not have a permanent commissioner tomorrow, no IPS commissioner and no 36 ambassadors will be appointed in important countries, because Netanyahu decided to cancel the cabinet meeting. "They are leading Netanyahu. I will do everything to build a strong and large political force that will get Bibi out of Balfour. If the ego goes, Bibi will go."
