The Tegernseer Tal Tourismus GmbH (TTT) bundles more tasks in the head office.

Several positions have been deleted.

For this, more space must be created in the headquarters.

Tegernsee

- In the Haus des Gastes in Tegernsee and at the Tegernseer Tal Tourismus GmbH (TTT) located there, major renovations are under way - first structurally, now literally.

After savings and restructuring, construction work for new offices is underway there.

Already in October in the audit report for 2019, there was talk of savings in personnel in the municipal councils.

"In 2020 we originally had further savings on the plan," says TTT Managing Director Christian Kausch.

However, due to the corona crisis, TTT was forced to take further savings, reallocations and structural measures immediately in order to be able to survive as a company in the long term.

“The goal we set was and is to come out of the crisis stronger and at the same time secure the future for the region,” explains Kausch, referring above all to the planned digital offensive.

In plain language: The TTT has put the red pencil and deleted a number of places.

Cuts in marketing and events

Many cuts have been made in marketing and events.

Above all, the TTT has restructured in the area of tourist information.

The guest and provider department was completely dissolved, and the TTT parted ways with its previous head, Petra Berger.

The five tourist information offices at Tegernsee have been formally combined into one area.

The tourist information teams in Kreuth and Rottach-Egern have been merged and placed under a joint management.

Angelika Drexler, who was presented to the Kreuther municipal council in November, took over.

In the future, she will be on site in Kreuth every Wednesday, supported by the two employees Regina Walsch and Manuela Mayr, who in turn are working in both Kreuth and Rottach-Egern.

“The opening times have been adjusted as needed,” says Kausch.

“In the Central Services area, the guest and host service was strengthened by the change of Christa Erlacher from Rottach-Egern and Andrea Huber from Kreuth to Tegernsee, so that in the future various host services that were previously located in the tourist information offices and had to be provided individually five times , can now be displayed to a large extent centrally, ”explains the TTT boss.

"By using these synergies, a total of five employees could be saved."

In order to further reduce the share of administrative costs, Kausch reports, IT and flat rates have been outsourced, considerable savings have been made in storage and shipping and some tasks have also been returned to the Alpine region of Tegernsee Schliersee (ATS).

The TTT also made greater use of the time in 2020 to digitize and automate internal processes.

"A total of three employees could be saved here," reports Kausch.

In order to be able to cope with the projects of the digitization offensive, two positions have been advertised and have been filled in the meantime.

After restructuring, space requirements in the guest's house increase

Due to the restructuring, however, the space requirement in the headquarters in the Tegernsee Haus des Gastes has increased.

This made a renovation necessary, which will be completed in the coming weeks.

“But,” says Kausch, “the process of centralizing the tasks is far from over and is being continuously pursued.” It will certainly take a while for everything to settle in.

Above all, personal contact with hosts and guests should be maintained.

Kausch: “We feel well positioned for the future and are confident that we will be able to respond well to all requirements.

There is much to do!"
