Drove to the woods and attacked: Arrested on suspicion of raping a girl in Sharon 15 years ago
The 38-year-old is suspected of raping a 16-year-old in 2006 and attempting to rape another young woman in 2014.

A 38-year-old Qalansawa resident was arrested on suspicion of two cases of sexual assault of women in the Sharon area.
According to the suspicion, in a case that occurred in 2006 he raped a 16-year-old girl, and in 2014 he tried to rape another young woman.
The Magistrate's Court in Petah Tikva today (Monday) extended his detention until Sunday.
His investigation revealed that the suspect acted systematically in both cases.
According to the suspicion, he picked up the victims with his vehicle at one of the intersections in the Sharon area, drove Aton to a nearby grove and sexually assaulted them with threats and physical violence.
Since the incident was reported, police have collected evidence and are investigating the cases, and following recent developments, suspicions about the man have grown stronger.
A suspicion that he was involved in other rape cases was also investigated.

In another case, five young men were arrested, in their 20s, on suspicion of involvement in the rape of a 17-year-old girl in an apartment in Ashkelon and other offenses that occurred about six months ago.
Among the suspects is a 20-year-old man from Ashdod, suspected of soliciting his girlfriend for acts with his friends.
According to police, the rape incident, part of which was filmed, involved drugs and alcohol, and the young man tried to hide some of the evidence.
