In video: Democrats unveil dismissal clause against Trump: "Incitement to uprising" (Reuters)

The US Federal Bureau of Investigation has warned that outgoing supporters of outgoing President Donald Trump are planning demonstrations in Washington, D.C. and all 50 capitals ahead of Joe Biden's inauguration next week, ABC reported today (Monday), less than a week after the Capitol Hill raid. Confirmation of Biden's victory.

According to the report, which quoted a memo from the most senior law enforcement agency in the United States, an unidentified armed group plans to arrive in Washington on January 16.

It promised another uprising if there were attempts to oust Trump, as Democrats promote in the House of Representatives and as some Republican lawmakers read.

The FBI has not officially responded to the report, but authorities are preparing for the January 20 inauguration, which will be boycotted by Trump.

The commander of the National Guard, General Daniel Hawkenson, told reporters that up to 15,000 troops would be deployed in Washington, D.C., ahead of the ceremony, following the security failure at the heart of the U.S. government.

Following this, the commander of the Capitol Police resigned, and today Uganda Pitman was appointed - the first woman, and the first black man to head the force.

According to the commander of the National Guard, he expects that up to ten thousand soldiers will be in the city by Saturday, and they will focus on assisting security, logistics and communications efforts ahead of the ceremony, which will be exceptional in every way.

At the same time, the National Parks Service said the Washington Monument will be closed for tours until Jan. 24 due to continued threats from groups involved in last week's onslaught, which want to disrupt the inauguration ceremony that Trump is boycotting.

The outgoing president will be the first in the last 200 years not to attend the ceremony.

Even before the attack on the Capitol, in which five people were killed, the ceremony, which is usually attended by hundreds of thousands of people, was supposed to be smaller than usual due to the corona plague that continues to rage in the United States despite the start of vaccinations.

Biden put the fight against the virus at the center of his next administration's priorities.

"I'm not afraid to take the oath out," Biden said tonight, after receiving the second shot of Pfizer's vaccine, and in the wake of the FBI warning report.

He stressed that the rioters should be prosecuted, and expressed hope that Democrats and Republicans could work together on the issue.

"I think it's very important to have a real and serious focus on prosecuting those who were involved in the uprising and threatened the lives of people, corrupted public property, caused a lot of damage," Biden said.

Dozens have been arrested and prosecuted since then, and hundreds more are expected in the coming days.

Biden said that "I don't think Trump should be in office, period," but did not explicitly address the impeachment process that could delay advancing his agenda.

Biden noted that he "hopes and expects" the Senate to "split" his work if the House of Representatives promotes the removal of Trump, who will go to the polls on Wednesday for an "incitement to insurrection" clause.

According to the plan of the president-elect, the morning hearings will focus on approving his candidates and promoting a new aid package for Corona victims, while the afternoon will be devoted to the trial.

Democrats will be able to do so after Jan. 20, so they will gain control of the Senate thanks to the two victories in Georgia last week that resulted in a 50-seat tie between Democrats and Republicans.

Elected Vice President Kamla Harris will break the tie and so Democrats will have control of the Senate.
