Ice cream giant "Ben & Jerry's" likes to surprise its fans and addicts frequently with a variety of campaigns, promotions and quite a few new and surprising flashes and flavors.

Just last week we reported on the return of the popular “Cherry Garcia” flavor from the dead and the launch of cookie dough without ice cream.

Now, the chain has once again surprised, this time also the community of dog lovers, with the announcement of a new ice cream in two flavors designed for beloved pets.

The ice cream base for dogs is made of sunflower butter and the flavors that have just come out, no doubt, will also appeal to diners who walk on two legs.

The first flavor is peanut butter and pretzel chips, the second flavor is based on pumpkin and the ice cream cookies will be sold in packages ranging in price from three dollars to five dollars, at all chains and supermarkets across the United States.

"We listen to our audience and know how important dogs are to each and every one of our customers," said Lindsay Bumps, the company's global marketing director.

"This product line was created so that even the dogs we all love, puppies and adults alike, can enjoy another delicious and quality treat and not just pet treats."
