Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez today condemned the "political opportunism" of the outgoing US President Donald Trump's administration after it re-included Cuba in the list of "states sponsoring terrorism."
In his tweet on Twitter, Rodriguez said: "We condemn the cynical and hypocritical declaration of the United States to designate Cuba as a state sponsor of terrorism ... Every sincere fear of terrorism and its victims realizes the political opportunism of this act."
The Trump administration announced, through Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, earlier today, “the re-inclusion of Cuba on the US blacklist of countries supporting terrorism,” after the administration of former President Barack Obama removed it from this list.
And Rodriguez confirmed in a tweet last Tuesday that US foreign policy during the past four years, especially after Pompeo became Minister of State, was characterized by excessive hostility towards Cuba.
