The stimulus package against the coronavirus crisis approved in December by Congress and valued at 2.3 trillion dollars included an extraordinary clause: the Government must provide congressmen with all the information at their disposal on unidentified flying objects (UFOs or, in English ufos).
The Intelligence Authorization Act, passed in conjunction with the stimulus package, provides more resources for gathering investigations and compiling data between intelligence agencies.
But it also requires them to provide Congress with an unclassified report on UFOs within 180 days.

Lawmakers are concerned that "there is no unified and comprehensive process within the federal government to collect and analyze investigations into unidentified aerial phenomena, despite the potential threat" they pose.
It must be taken into consideration that when hearing the word UFO, spaceships of aliens immediately come to mind, but in reality they are only unidentified objects, which in all probability are of terrestrial origin but may belong to other countries such as Russia and China.
The report must thus identify any threat to national security based on information and analysis from the
Office of Naval Intelligence, the Task Force on Unidentified Aerial Phenomena and the FBI
