A new version of the solidarity fund should soon see the light of day.
The Minister of the Economy, Bruno Le Maire, confirmed this on Monday.

We will probably still modify it in the coming weeks to deal with situations which are new
", he explained on France Inter.

The idea would be to raise the ceiling of this fund which now stands at 200,000 euros.

I confirm that we are working on a new, much more generous cap on the solidarity fund so as to take charge of the situation of hotel chains, restaurant chains, restaurateurs who have three or four restaurants in large cities.
We are working on a ceiling of 3 million euros.
We will have the opportunity to clarify things this week,
”he said.
The minister nevertheless warned: “as
soon as the criteria are changed, it brings additional delays.
I know it takes a toll on the cash flow.
We are doing our best to speed up the procedure
”.
Bruno Le Maire confirmed more broadly that the government would support sectors in difficulty "
as long as necessary
".
In particular, it will ask the banking sector for an additional effort on loans guaranteed by the State.
“
I will receive the banking federation tomorrow.
I will ask them if, for all sectors in difficulty, we can defer the reimbursement of the EMP from March 1, 2021 to March 1, 2022
”.

Asked about the public debt, which soared with the health crisis, Bruno Le Maire reaffirmed that there will be no increase in taxes, "
neither on households, nor on companies

The only direction that will allow us to regain growth is to avoid any easy solution such as increasing taxes,
" he explained.

The minister pleaded for continued reforms, especially pensions.

I consider that overall, the country does not work enough because there is too much unemployment, because people are retired too early, because young people find it too difficult to enter the labor market.
Ultimately, this can lead to the impoverishment of France and therefore to a poorer standard of living for our children and grandchildren.
This is not what I want for my country.
This is why I am calling for a pension reform

The latter also wants to be confident about France's ability to revive its economy.

Even if there are difficult weeks ahead of us, 2021 will be a good year for the French economy because we have an exceptional rebound capacity.
In the first part of the year 2021, the shock will be significant on employment, on companies.
But I am convinced that in the second phase of 2021, the economy will rebound strongly
