The Innovation and Technology Commission today (11th) launched the fourth round of midstream research and development programs for institutions. Institutions are welcome to submit applications for funding for research and development projects with the themes of "drug research and development" and "green engineering technology". The deadline is March 26.
The funding ceiling for each project is 5 million yuan, and multi-party cooperation projects are given priority, and the funding ceiling will be increased to 10 million yuan.
According to the Innovation and Technology Department, research and development projects with the theme of "drug research and development" refer to the mid-to-downstream research of innovative chemical, biological or Chinese medicine-based drugs used to treat diseases, while those with the theme of "green engineering technology" cover many A category of engineering technology, including renewable energy such as solar and wind energy, third-generation semiconductors, remote sensing technology, artificial intelligence, smart buildings and smart grids.
According to the Innovation and Technology Agency, the plan aims to encourage universities funded by the University Grants Committee to conduct more thematic midstream research in key scientific and technological fields, so as to provide more scientific research results for downstream research or product development.
The funding limit for each project is 5 million yuan.
Priority will be given to projects involving multiple disciplines or the cooperation of multiple universities or scientific research institutions, and the funding ceiling will be increased to 10 million yuan.
