The ultra-Orthodox Jerusalem faction announced tonight (Monday) that Talmud Torah and Yeshivot will also open tomorrow, and the studies in them will take place as usual.

Sources in the movement said that the clashes at the Grodno yeshiva in Ashdod over the enforcement of the closure regulations, during which three policemen were injured and 11 demonstrators were arrested, will not change their decision to continue Torah studies.

"We demonstrated today because they wanted to close Talmud Torah, dozens of policemen beat, operated horses. When they come to hurt our hearts, we stand still," said Yehezkel Abramovich from the Committee to Save the Torah World, declaring that they will not stop studying.

"Nothing will move us from the Torah," he said.

According to Hanania Dor of the Jerusalem faction, "the state will not make decisions that it does not understand, as with Talmud Torah."

He reiterated that the classes would take place tomorrow and claimed that the police used violence against the boys who demonstrated.

"There is a fear that the police will disrupt our Jewish life," he said. "There is no patient in the Talmud Torah, there is a feeling that we are the punching bag of the state."

A police source made it clear that the clashes would not deter them from continuing to enforce the regulations.

"Police preparedness continues to locate more hotspots of violating the guidelines. We will go wherever it is needed to enforce the closure guidelines."

The Ashdod municipality stated that it "will continue to resolutely enforce the emergency regulations as set by the Israeli government, with the aim of preserving public health. "Israel.

The directive is to continue to enforce even more the violation, as it may be, in all parts of the city."

"We want to strengthen the police forces of the Israel Police and the employees of the Ashdod Municipality, who have been working for security and public health since this morning and throughout the year," they added.

At an incident near the Grodno yeshiva, municipal inspectors arrived near the building due to a report of a gathering of boys.

When they arrived at the scene, some of the boys broke out and started throwing stones and sticks at them.

Police then arrived with increased forces to enforce the corona directives and arrest the rioters.

According to police sources, within the yeshiva more than a hundred guys studied in violation of restrictions.

Police said that "forces are operating in the third district of Ashdod, after being called earlier this morning by municipal inspectors who were attacked during an operation at an educational institution that operated in violation of regulations. .

Since the tight closure began last weekend, most ultra-Orthodox educational institutions have closed their doors.

This, after the call of leading rabbis in the various streams in the sector to cooperate with the guidelines and close the institutions for the period of closure.

However, the yeshiva where the riot took place belongs to the extremist Jerusalem faction that deliberately decided to continue its studies in educational institutions affiliated with it, despite the closure and the serious illness.
