Last week, AirlineRating ranked the safest airlines in the world.
In the ranking that is published every year, there are quite a few airlines that operate in Israel, but not even a single Israeli airline.
In first place in the ranking is the Australian company "Qantas", which is not active in Israel.
In second place are Qatar Airways, followed by Air New Zealand and Singapore Airlines, which are also companies that do not operate flights to Israel.
In fifth place is the first company that is scheduled to operate flights to Israel as early as next month - Emirates of Dubai.
In sixth place is the Taiwanese company EVA and in seventh place is Etihad from Abu Dhabi, which is also scheduled to start operating flights to Israel as early as March this year.
The top ten is closed by Alaska, the Hong Kong Pacific Katai which operates flights to Israel and the British Airways which also operates flights to Israel.
Further down the list are several other companies that operate flights to Israel - Virgin (11), Delta (14), American Airlines (15 - is expected to return to Israel at the end of the year), Lufthansa (18) KLM (19) and United United close the prestigious list.
The ranking was determined from 385 airlines in the world and the criteria are mainly accidents, age of the aircraft fleet, exceptional events, pilot training and more.
The site has also rated the safest low-cost companies in the world and here too, there are some that operate in Israel.
The list includes Air Arabia from Abu Dhabi, EasyJet, Rainier, Wise, American Frontier, Vietnam from Vietnam and American Jet Blue.
The 20 airlines that have most adhered to Corona's guidelines according to the site are: Air Baltic, Air New Zealand, Alaska, Japanese ANA, Air Asia, British Airways, Katai Pacific, Delta, Emirates, Etihad, EVA, Japan Airlines, Jet Blue , KLM, Corian, Lufthansa, Singapore Airlines, Southwest, Qatar Airways and Westjet.
