Israel Today owner Sheldon Adelson passed away today (Tuesday) at the age of 87. Many public figures and politicians in Israel parted ways with him.
Right-wing chairman Naftali Bennett said: "Sheldon Adelson was a Jewish patriot, one of the greatest lovers of the Jewish nation and will forever be recorded in the annals of the State of Israel.
"The late Sheldon, along with his loving wife Miri, worked day and night to strengthen the Jewish people throughout the world, to strengthen Israel's security, to diversify opinions in Israel, and to preserve the integrity of the Land of Israel. The people of Israel will remember him forever. I send my condolences to Miri and his children."
Minister of Transport Miri Regev: "I was sorry to hear of the death of Sheldon Adelson. A man of spirit, vision and kindness, who worked tirelessly for the State of Israel, for the Jewish people all over the world and led unprecedented Zionist philanthropic work.
