  • Bavaria and all of Germany continue to struggle with the corona pandemic.

Stricter measures have been in place since Monday.

  • Compulsory vaccination for nurses would only increase skepticism before vaccination, says editor Katrin Woitsch.

Munich -

Many people are longingly waiting for the corona vaccination

- but they still have to be patient until it is their turn.

And then it is precisely those who refuse the vaccination that they could get immediately: the nursing staff.

For many this is incomprehensible.

Especially because the carers in particular have cared for many patients with severe Covid-19 courses and know how dangerous the virus can be.

But the

fear of possible side effects of

the vaccine is apparently greater for some.

Coronavirus vaccine: Everyone must be allowed to obtain thorough information first

However, this is understandable with a vaccine that was developed and approved in record time.

Everyone has to be allowed

to inform

themselves

thoroughly

and to make a conscious decision for a vaccination.

Instead, it has taken less than two weeks since the vaccination started before mental games about

mandatory vaccination

for

nurses were

pronounced out loud.

One dentist even ordered his employees to have a vaccination.

That certainly does not create trust - neither in the vaccine nor in politics, which had always promised voluntariness.

The vaccine will be an

effective weapon

against

corona

if as many people as possible get vaccinated.

This can only be achieved with thorough information that must reach all sections of the population.

Even the nursing staff whose mother tongue is not German.

Coercion will only fuel skepticism - and not only among nurses.
