France condemned today the plans of the Israeli occupation authorities to establish 800 new settlement units in the occupied West Bank.
And according to what Reuters reported, the French Foreign Ministry called in a statement on the Israeli occupation authorities to abandon their plans to expand these settlements, stressing the need to abandon any unilateral measures that might jeopardize the peaceful solution and the establishment of the Palestinian state.
Palestinian officials had warned of the Israeli occupation’s plans to impose dozens of settlement projects that are being implemented rapidly in order to impose more new reality on the ground despite international resolutions that affirm the illegality of settlement in the occupied Palestinian territories and despite international calls calling for a halt to settlement work there.
