Representatives of the governments of Honduras, Guatemala, El Salvador and Mexico met this Monday at the El Corinto border crossing, Honduras, where they discussed migration, especially addressing issues related to irregular migration, security, the fight against the smuggling of migrants and human trafficking, as reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Guatemala in a statement.

"A safe, orderly and regular migration", that was the slogan in which the four representatives of the governments agreed that they will discuss the start of the migratory caravans that will begin on January 15 and that are destined for the United States.

According to the statement, the four governments expressed their concern about the massive flow of people and the exposure they may have to the coronavirus, which is why they will have the accompaniment of United Nations agencies.
