In an operation, agents of the National Civil Police of Guatemala (PNC) detained 48 undocumented Hondurans who were traveling in two public transport buses.
The operation was carried out at kilometer 177, near the city of Chiquimula, in the east of the country.
According to the authorities, the immigrants entered the country irregularly without completing the immigration process.
So they were transferred to Migration on the Agua Caliente border of the Esquipulas municipality.
The PNC indicated that public health and human rights personnel arrived for the corresponding security protocols.
