Li Zhiying, the founder of Next Media, and a number of pan-citizens were accused of organizing and participating in the Victoria Park rally on August 18 of the previous year.

In addition to Li Zhiying, the other defendants in the same case include Li Zhuoren, Wu Aiyi, Liang Guoxiong, He Xiulan, He Junren, Liang Yaozhong, Martin Lee and Ou Nuoxuan.
Ou Nuoxuan pleaded guilty earlier, but the case of the defendant who did not plead guilty will start trial on February 16.
