At about 6 am today, the police received a report from the MTR, stating that the travel time of the Hong Kong Island Line would be delayed by 5 minutes due to a power failure.

It is reported that there is preliminary suspicion of cable damage at the Chai Wan Depot on the Hong Kong Island Line.

As of 7:43 in the morning, the MTR stated that due to the power failure of the Chai Wan Depot, the travel time of the Island Line between Kennedy Town Station and Chai Wan Station is expected to take an additional 3 to 5 minutes.

The Kennedy Station to Chai Wan Station runs every 3 minutes.

According to the MTR, there are more passengers on the platform of the Island Line and the waiting time will be longer. Passengers are requested to allow sufficient time for the journey.
