Despite the corona pandemic, the municipality of Oberhaching is on stable financial footing and will therefore start some major construction projects this year.

It is to be expected, however, that every issue will now be scrutinized very carefully during the budget discussions.

Oberhaching

- The planned school campus with secondary school and FOS directly at the Deisenhofen S-Bahn stop is entering the design phase.

In the next six months there will be a Europe-wide architecture competition, the results are expected in summer.

The basis for planning is the construction of a four-tier secondary school for around 600 students and a technical college for 500 to 600 students.

In addition, a triple sports hall, which can also be used for extracurricular events, a cafeteria and an underground car park with around 150 spaces will be built.

In addition, the urban planning evidence for rental apartments is to be incorporated within the framework of inexpensive “young living” with 25 to 30 residential units.

mobility

A bus station is to be built directly on the school campus, i.e. on the west side of the S-Bahn, so that the bus traffic, which will increase from December 2021 with the introduction of the two regionally significant ring bus routes X203, which goes from Deisenhofen to Heimstetten, and X320, which goes from Deisenhofen to Wolfratshausen drives, will expand, to offer appropriate turning options. The long-term goal is to make mobility offers in the entire district and beyond so attractive that people use local public transport instead of driving by car.

Sauerlacher Strasse

Sauerlacher Strasse is being renovated and expanded so that the new bus routes do not have to go through the town.

Construction work will now start in spring and the road will be completely closed to traffic during the year.

Through town

The plans have been finished in the drawer for a number of years, and construction work for the Oberbiberg through-town is finally starting.

The State Road Construction Office is responsible; the municipality bears the costs of around 500,000 euros for the planned sidewalks.

The aim is more safety for pedestrians and cyclists.

Affordable housing

A complex with 24 rental apartments is currently under construction on Neuer Weg, with the option of buying heritable building rights.

In addition, rental apartments with 25 to 30 residential units will be built on the school campus as part of inexpensive “young living”.

grocery store

As Mayor Stefan Schelle reports, it is hoped that in the next six months there will finally be clarity as to how and who is investing on the property on Kybergstrasse opposite the Bürgersaal Forstner and which shops and institutions will be located there.

Club anniversaries

Actually, FC Deisenhofen celebrated its 100th anniversary last year and the Oberhaching fire brigade even celebrated its 150th anniversary with big celebrations.

The disappointment was all the greater when both birthdays had to be canceled.

Because due to the pandemic, that was unfortunately not possible.

It is not yet certain whether the festivities can be rescheduled this year.
