US President Donald Trump today (Tuesday) expressed opposition to opening a dismissal proceedings against him after the riots on Capitol Hill, saying "we do not want violence."
He said, "A dismissal procedure against me will cause immense outrage."
He declined to answer a question about whether he intends to resign as Democrats and some members of his Republican Party call him.
Five people were killed in riots last Wednesday as supporters stormed Congress while debating Joe Biden's victory in the election.
Only under pressure from his advisers did Trump condemn the violence Friday night, but he was blocked by most major social networks.
