The Federal Wildlife Agency in Florida announced today (Tuesday) that it is looking for a person or group of people responsible for an unusual abuse in Perth Yam.

The investigation was opened after a report in a local Citrus newspaper reported that unknown individuals had engraved the name of US President Donald Trump on the back of a ladybug.

Photos and video posted on the social network show the mermaid with the name "Trump" engraved on her back.

Here is the video of the poor manatee that had "TRUMP" carved into its body.

Minding it's own business and some monster (s) came along and did this.

According to the report, the video was shot at Blue Hall Spring, a popular spot among vacationers on the Homussa River in the northwest of the country.

Authorities called on anyone with information regarding the identity of the animal abusers, known as slow, sociable and harmless, to come and hand it over to the police.

It should be noted that from the posted video it is possible that the engraving on the back of the animal was done on the algae layer that grew regularly on the backs of the sea cows.

However, even if no obvious injury was caused to the animal, damage to the algae layer and skin can cause medical complications and is expressly prohibited by law.

Large and friendly grays, Florida's sea cows are a favorite attraction for tourists in the southern state and tourists find it hard to remain indifferent to the charming and clumsy mammals.

In recent years there has been a cautious growth in the number of sea cows, after years of shrinking their population, mainly due to motor boat-related accidents.
