Many people from the region wanted to use the last day before school and the newly tightened Corona regulations - the cars had license plates from Starnberg, Weilheim and Munich - to toboggan again in good snow conditions.
Worrying proportions, such as in the neighboring district of Miesbach, seem to have not taken on the joy of winter sports by people who are hungry for fresh air and tired of the pandemic.
“Of course, we kept an eye on developments after the incidents elsewhere.
However, our office did not notice anything about this over the weekend or received corresponding notifications that, for example, minimum distances were not being observed, ”says Geretsried's police chief Franz Schöttl when asked.
The Geretsried inspection has not yet received any reports of possible damage to the adjacent meadows from parked vehicles - the Süddeutsche Zeitung had addressed this.

Inspection chief Schöttl did not want to comment on possible increased controls with regard to the requirements that have been in force since Monday - tightening of the contact restrictions, restriction of the radius of movement for residents of counties with a seven-day incidence of over 200 -.
Just this much: "We are keeping an eye on that too."
In the area of responsibility of the Wolfrathsauser department, winter sports enthusiasts and those seeking relaxation also remained sensible.
His boss Andreas Czerweny was privately, among other places, in Degerndorf, reports inspection vice Steffen Frühauf.
A glance over to the hill at the Maria-Dank-Chapel let Czerweny enjoy his free time with peace of mind.
"He said that it is harmless here in the Wolfratshausen city area and in the surrounding communities compared to the winter sports hotspots in the south of the district," said Frühauf.
The police chief inspector makes it clear, however: He and his colleagues will "check what is now the default", but "within the framework of proportionality".
If a family is tobogganing, and a second is added briefly, “we will always weigh up how that should be classified”.
In general, the Wolfratshausen police do not have to patrol all the places in question for the devil.
"Of course we're on the move and keep our eyes open, but we usually follow up on clues."
