Geneva - Sana
The World Health Organization announced that it will hold a meeting tomorrow of its emergency committee to discuss the situation in the world in light of the outbreak of the Coronavirus pandemic.
Reuters quoted the organization as saying in a statement that this session of the Emergency Committee will be its sixth on the issue of the spread of the Corona virus since January 22, 2020.
After the meeting, the organization is expected to present to its Director General, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, and its member states, the updated instructions for settling the epidemiological situation.
Earlier in the day, Director of the World Health Organization's emergency program, Mike Ryan, said that the second year of the Coronavirus infection pandemic may be more difficult than it was previously given some of the dynamics of disease transmission.
However, the epidemiological situation is witnessing a significant deterioration in a large number of countries around the world, especially in Europe and North and South America, where indicators of the spread of the virus in recent weeks reach new record levels.
