This radical activist of the "black cause", according to the intelligence services, is suspected of having involuntarily set his log on fire.

This Wednesday morning, around 8 a.m., a 36-year-old man allegedly caused the explosion of his apartment in Saint-Leu-la-Forêt (Val-d'Oise), in a quiet residence near the station, by manipulating chemicals, we learned this Wednesday evening, confirming information from Point.

The thirty-something is known to be a radical activist "of the black cause".

He is known in particular to the intelligence services to be a "black supremacist", that is to say he defends "an ideology of the superiority of blacks over whites".

The tenant would have involuntarily detonated the accommodation but in his home, products capable of making explosives were discovered, such as acetone or white spirit.

However, neither a constituted explosive nor a detonator was found in the apartment.

He called for the assault on police officers in a blog

The alleged arsonist, who presented with burns to his hands, was released from the hospital during the day and was taken into police custody.

He is suspected of having tried to make one or more explosive devices.

The judicial police were seized by the Pontoise prosecutor's office.

For the time being, the National Anti-Terrorism Prosecutor's Office has not taken up this procedure.

His partner was slightly affected, possibly by only inhaling fumes.

The explosion caused a significant evolution of smoke.

The apartment is completely blackened with soot.

The thirty or so residents were evacuated while the firefighters intervened as well as the deminers.

Invested in the yellow vests movement

The respondent is also known to the police for having maintained a blog in 2016 in which he called for the assault of police.

An investigation by the DRPJ in Versailles then resulted in a conviction and imprisonment.

But that's not all.

He was also allegedly involved in an older attempted murder case in Brittany in 2006, the outcome of which is unknown.

More recently, he had invested in the yellow vests movement and was pursuing militant activity.
