The Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor announced the approval of expanding the number of beneficiaries of the National Loan for Two Displaced Persons, which is implemented in cooperation between the National Fund for Social Aid and the National Small Finance Corporation.

According to a statement published on its Facebook page, the Ministry of Social Affairs clarified that the target group was the demobilized persons who have completed 5 years or more in military service or those who have been demobilized as a result of an injury caused by war operations, regardless of years of service, regardless of the years of service who do not receive any salary or pension from any government agency. Or from any of the social security institutions.

The ministry indicated that the target group for the year 2021, in addition to those previously included, includes both those demobilized as a result of illness or injury not caused by war operations, regardless of their years of service, and those who have been discharged because they have become breadwinners “due to the death or death of a brother or any other reason” regardless of their years of service.

"In order to achieve the best use of the resources available for lending in light of the expansion of the segment of the beneficiaries, the terms of benefit in terms of interest bearing rates for the year 2021 have been amended to make the total interest on the loan 10 percent and the National Fund for Social Aid bears 6 percent of the total loan interest as a form of support," the ministry said in a statement. The social theater bears 3 percent, and the National Microfinance Company bears 1 percent of the total loan interest as a form of corporate social responsibility.

The ministry indicated that those who received the loan in 2020 will continue to pay according to what is specified in the loan conditions for the year 2020 in terms of interest rates until the full payment of the loan amount, while borrowers will pay in 2021 according to the interest rate approved for 2021 until the full amount of the loan is paid.

Those who have been admitted to the program of support and empowerment of those discharged from compulsory and reserve military service are entitled to apply for an interest-subsidized loan that came in implementation of the cooperation agreement signed by the fund with the National Microfinance Corporation on the 17th of last August, with a ceiling of five million Syrian pounds and the possibility of repayment of up to five years with Giving a repayment period to the borrower for a period of three months from the date of granting the loan. No commissions are incurred for granting the loan. Guarantees and guarantees are accepted according to the forms of personal guarantees, mortgage of real estate, vehicles and gold.

As of December 6, the number of applicants for the loan amounted to more than 6 thousand theater, and 145 theaters had actually borrowed.
