Sana'a - Sana
The Yemeni Shura Council condemned today the decision of the outgoing US administration to classify the Ansar Allah movement of Yemen as a "terrorist organization".
The council indicated in a statement today that the current US administration is "the official sponsor of international terrorism through its public and continuous support for the coalition of aggression against the Yemeni people, which has caused the worst humanitarian catastrophe in addition to the attempts to tear Yemen apart, occupy its lands, plunder its wealth and control its decision."
The statement pointed out that the American decision will have negative repercussions on the political solution to the crisis in Yemen and the progress of the peace negotiations sponsored by the United Nations, as it will cast a shadow over the security and stability of the region again, as it rejects any external interference in the Yemeni affairs.
Last Sunday, US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo announced that his country intends to classify the Yemeni Ansar Allah movement in what Washington calls "the black list of terrorist organizations".
