Israel expects and the Biden administration intends to respond:

A source close to Biden's transition team says that before the new president formulates the strategy vis-à-vis Iran, there will be consultations with Israel.

A week before the change of government in Washington, the president-elect's team is exploring options for how to deal with Iran.

The overarching goal that Baiden has set is not only to prevent Iran from arming itself with nuclear weapons, but also to halt the missile program and stop its regional aggression.

Within the new president's staff there are differing views on how to achieve this goal, particularly in light of Iran's use of modern centrifuges and raising the uranium enrichment level to 20 percent.

Some believe that due to the severity of the current situation, in which Iran is very close to breaking into the bomb, an immediate return of the US and Iranians to the original terms of the nuclear deal is required.

Under that approach, the U.S. would remove the harsh sanctions imposed by the Trump administration, and the Iranians in return would cease to enrich uranium and meet the rest of the agreement's requirements. Others think the U.S. should condition the return on Iran's new commitments on the missile program in the region.

In any case, Israel opposes a return to the original agreement, and Prime Minister Netanyahu described such a move as a "mistake."

In addition, Jerusalem expects the Biden administration to consult with Israel and the countries of the region before formulating the new strategy vis-à-vis Iran.

A knowledgeable Israeli source told Israel Today that "at this stage there are no contacts on behalf of the American side with anyone (the reason is American inside; etc.), but our assessment is that the next administration will consult with us and our new allies in the region, before forming The policy. "

The American side confirms that such consultations will indeed take place.

However, the US source noted that it would probably take several months for the US strategy towards Iran to be formulated.

The new president will take office only next week and must appoint more incumbents whose entry requires Senate approval before the overall policy is formulated.

However, there may be a possibility of a preliminary message from the new president to the Iranian leadership, similar to the secret letter Obama sent to Ayatollah Khamenei at the beginning of his term.

As UAVs to Yemen

Meanwhile, the American magazine Newsweek reported that Iran had recently sent to Yemen UAVs, known as "suicide gliders," capable of carrying heavy weights and reaching distances of up to 2,200 kilometers - and thus even reaching Israel. The satellite shows that the Revolutionary Guards sent the UAVs to al-Juf province in northeastern Yemen, an area controlled by the Houthi rebels, an Iranian-backed terrorist organization.

"They are trying to get a denial in advance," the expert told Newsweek.

"By attacking American, Saudi or Israeli targets, the pursuit of the target of the attack will reach Yemen, and thus they will be able to deny any connection to the attacks."

In an interview recently given by an IDF spokesman, Hedi Zilberman to a Saudi website, he said that Iran might attack Israel from the Iraqi or Yemen area. "We have information that Iran is developing UAVs and smart missiles that can reach as far as Israel."

The Arab newspaper Dar al-Hayat reported that since Joe Biden's victory in the election, and the understanding in Jerusalem and Riyadh, the Biden administration intends to reach a new nuclear agreement with Tehran, the newspaper said that "senior Israeli and Saudi officials And attack the Iranian nuclear facilities. "

The report alleges that the breach of the agreement by the Iranians, who recently passed in parliament legislation their decision to enrich uranium to a level of 20 percent, is a cause for a US military attack.

According to the report, senior Washington officials cite the possibility that a US attack on Iran, which will thwart Biden's plan to reach a new nuclear deal with Tehran, has been discussed in recent weeks between Saudi and Israeli security officials in secret meetings in northern Saudi Arabia, where Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu Saudi Ben Salman and US Secretary of State Pompeo.
