There are bizarre scenes that are currently taking place on the Dutch border near Rotterdam.

"Is there sausage everywhere on the bread?"

"Yes."

"Yes?

Ok, then we have to confiscate them all. "

"For real?

Can I put the sausage down and keep the loaves? "

“No, everything will be confiscated.

That's how it is with Brexit.

We are sorry."

"Oh God."

Since Brexit, Great Britain has been considered a third country from the EU perspective.

For travelers from the UK, this means that they are not allowed to import meat or fish, dairy products or vegetables.

Strict rules now also apply in other areas.

For example, fishermen have to fill out significantly more forms if they want to export seafood to the EU.

The stricter controls also mean longer waiting times at the borders.

Instead of 24 hours, it now takes three days for Scottish fish to reach France, for example.
