Demonstrators threw garbage bags and stones at forces who came to enforce corona restrictions • Seven suspects arrested • Senior police official: "We will not hesitate to enforce neighborhood regulations
Police forces that entered the Mea Shearim neighborhood of Jerusalem today (Thursday) for the purpose of enforcing the corona regulations, were attacked with stones and garbage bags thrown at them.
Police said the forces are continuing their operations at the scene, and that so far seven suspects have been detained or arrested for disorderly conduct.
A senior police officer told the ultra-Orthodox protest group: "The Mea Shearim neighborhood is no different from any other neighborhood in the city and we will not hesitate to enforce the regulations in the neighborhood."

Meanwhile, the police noted that since the tightening of the restrictions came into force, 29 reports have been recorded for the operation of an institution that conducts educational activities in violation of regulations.
The police said that from the beginning of the enforcement of the corona regulations until yesterday, 128 reports were recorded in this section and many more reports for various other violations discovered in and around educational institutions (most of this time the ban on operation was not valid at all).
