Last night, it was reported that in recent days the Ministry of Health has issued a new directive due to the wave of morbidity and congestion on the laboratories, according to which corona tests will be done only after a doctor's referral, and not freely as has been the norm so far.
However, the Home Front Command's sampling sites continue to operate and conduct corona tests without referral, while the funds have to transfer their insureds through the bureaucracy.
According to the new guideline, a person who wants to undergo a corona test and does not suffer from symptoms should get a referral from a doctor.
In addition, a person defined as recovering is not eligible for testing unless there is a clinical suspicion of viral disease.
The same directive was not passed to the Home Front Command either.
The vaccination campaign continues, Israel will cross the 2 million mark today
Along with the spread of the virus, the vaccination campaign continues, with Israel today expected to cross the second threshold of one million vaccinators, after nearly 200,000 citizens made an appointment for a vaccine - some for the first dose and others for the second.
In the past week, there has been a significant slowdown in the rate of vaccinations, with only one hundred thousand people vaccinated in total.
This is despite the fact that there are hundreds of thousands of vaccines in refrigerators in Israel - of which 700,000 arrived in Israel on Sunday, and alongside them - another 400,000 should arrive as early as this coming Sunday.
