The Corona aid is finally starting.
Does this finally end the trembling game?
Munich entrepreneurs tell us what they think of it.
Politicians had promised that the November aid should come quickly and unbureaucratically.
Due to a software glitch, the payout only started on Tuesday (January 12th).
Many of those affected are up to their necks.
Munich
- "The air is getting thin," says Charly Eisenrieder from the
pastry shop Münchner Freiheit
.
He and his brother Max Eisenrieder
already lost
500,000 euros during the
corona pandemic *
.
“Our resources are slowly being used up.
If the
lockdown
goes until Easter, as Ms. Merkel suggested, the consequences are incalculable. ”After all:
the brothers already have
50,000 euros of the promised 100,000 euros in
November
aid in their account.
Nevertheless, Eisenrieder remains skeptical: "So far we only have the preliminary decision, it is not yet certain whether the amount of money will actually arrive." Although the
pastry shop is
open, the running costs eat up a big hole in the till.
The brothers have already
considered
bankruptcy
.
“But that's not an alternative for us.
We also have a social responsibility towards our employees. "
Corona: Landlords have to fall back on private assets and pension provision
Gregor Lemke, owner of the
monastery landlord
and spokesman for the
city center
landlords, has been waiting in
vain for the promised
November
payment
for
weeks
.
"Because of fast and direct: We haven't received anything so far." In the meantime, he is therefore struggling with the promises of the politicians.
"We restaurateurs have to be able to rely on something."
Many business colleagues would have had to fall back on their
retirement provisions
and
private assets in
order to
plug
the financial holes.
“We are sometimes talking about amounts in the seven-digit range.
And there is no perspective: Nobody knows how long the
lockdown
will
last
and when they can make up for their losses. "
Corona: Munich DJ had to organize money from in-laws
From computer
repairs
to baby
bump shootings
: Munich
DJ Woiferl Kraus
is currently taking on every casual
job that comes
up.
“We shimmy from month to month,” says the 62-year-old.
He applied for
2850 euros
November
aid, of which he has already received an advance payment of 1450 euros.
For him and his wife Gisela, it was unfavorable that
November, of
all
events, was used
for the calculation: "We hardly have any income anyway because there are no weddings or Christmas parties."

On average, the couple earns 5500 euros per month, of which 2000 euros go for rent and 1000 euros for health insurance.
"If our in-laws hadn't supported us with 10,000 euros, it wouldn't have been possible," says
Kraus
.
He doesn't see a light at the end of the tunnel: “December with the
Christmas
parties
would have been
particularly
important for us - otherwise we save ourselves over the weak January.” The
live stream parties
, which they direct from the studio at home,
add variety
send to the living room.
The next virtual party will take place on Friday at 7.30 p.m., link via Facebook page facebook.com/DJ089.de.

Corona: Brewery restaurants often go empty-handed when it comes to state aid
The team around landlord Otmar Mutzenbach from the
Schneider Bräuhaus im Tal
is stunned: They
missed
out
on
Corona *
help
.
“We don't get anything, not a cent,” says Mutzenbach.
To vent his anger, he
posted
a caricature showing
Finance Minister Scholz
with a Pinocchio nose in front of his restaurant.
In contrast to independent restaurateurs, a brewery
inn
only
receives
state aid
if, together with the affiliated brewery, it reaches a sales deficit of 80 percent compared to the respective month of the previous year.
“We are only slightly below that and therefore have no claim.
Since March we have been living entirely on our savings - the money is gone! ”The
Association of Private Breweries Bavaria is
now calling for brewery inns to be treated like independent restaurants.
No guests, no income: Alessandro Gambino from
Gambino Hotels
and his sister in Munich * run three
hotels
on their own and is also responsible for the management of another.
Of the 173,000 euros promised in the application for his
three own hotels
, he has so far received just 10,000 euros.
“That sounds like a lot and we are very grateful for it.
But in the end it is just a drop in the ocean. ”Rent and fixed costs continue to run despite the
pandemic
.
Alessandro Gambino was able to negotiate a deferral with the landlords.
"But by the end of December alone, 1.25 million euros in
rental debts
had already
accumulated, which we will have to repay at some point."
