The head of the Israel Police's Operations Department, Lt. Gen. Yishai Shalem, said today (Thursday) that enforcement of the Corona regulations by the police will worsen over the weekend.
"We changed the checkpoints due to working hours, we spaced out the tests to allow people to get to work without encountering the traffic jams that the checkpoints create," Shalem said.
"At the weekend we return to the checkpoints in full format, 25 checkpoints on the intercity lanes starting at midnight."
