A study presented at the latest meeting of the US Astronomical Society revealed that the universe may have fewer galaxies than previously thought.
A previous measurement by the Hubble Space Telescope suggested that there were 2 trillion galaxies in the entire universe.
However, NASA's New Horizons mission found that there are only hundreds of billions of galaxies, according to the aforementioned study.
