School buses do not circulate in several departments of the Grand Est on Thursday due to a "
remarkable snowfall
" which has forced certain prefectures to also take other traffic restrictions.

The Ardennes, Aisne, Meuse, Meurthe-et-Moselle, Moselle, Nord, Vosges, Bas-Rhin, Haut-Rhin and Territoire-de-Belfort are placed in snow and ice orange vigilance .
In the Vosges, Meuse, Moselle and Meurthe-et-Moselle, school buses were canceled on Wednesday evening for the day of Thursday.
The Haut-Rhin prefecture, for its part, announced at the end of the morning that the pupils of the department could "
now return to their homes in order to avoid congestion on the roads
".

School transport is organized at midday for this purpose,

It had already put in place a ban on overtaking on all roads and highways in the department on Wednesday evening for vehicles over 7.5 tonnes, which also cannot travel at more than 80 km / h.
Meurthe-et-Moselle has for its part closed to these same vehicles a portion of the national road, between Crusnes and the border with Belgium.
A heavy goods vehicle storage area has been set up in Mont-Saint-Martin, near the borders with Belgium and Luxembourg.
10 to 20 centimeters of snow are expected in the eastern departments in the plains, and up to 30 centimeters on the Vosges summits.
