is probably
dead
.
Rescue workers discovered a lifeless person in an apartment on the top floor of the house, as Thilo Hoffmann from the district fire inspection announced on Friday.
The body was burned beyond recognition, said a police spokesman.
A DNA report should provide certainty about the identity of the corpse.
No other people were in the building.
Around 130 emergency services from
the fire brigade, police and technical relief organization had been on duty since the early morning.
Rapid intervention prevented the fire from spreading to the
new town hall

"Unfortunately the
wooden beam ceiling
on the first floor collapsed," reported the district fire chief.

After the
fire
in Sauerlach, the
resident of
an attic apartment is still missing.
As Mayor Barbara Bogner (Independent Citizens Association Sauerlach) announced, the
single resident
is an elderly man who has
lived in
the house
for
60 years
.
The police assume that the man was
in the apartment
.
Fire fighters
gradually open the roof structure and burn individual, small
fire pockets.
In the meantime, the THW has also arrived at the scene of the fire.
Together, the emergency services try to build an emergency roof over the house to protect it from the weather.

roof
fire
in the old town hall in Sauerlach
.
When the first fire fighters arrived, part of the attic apartment was already on fire, according to district fire chief Thilo Hoffmann.
The alert level was then raised.
The fire brigades used two turntable ladders as well as breathing apparatus inside.
This prevented the fire from spreading further.
At around 6 a.m., the fire was in the hands of the emergency services.
Fire in Sauerlach: residents of the old town hall missing - files from the registry office saved
Up to this
point in time
, the resident of the apartment could not be found due to the strong fire.
No other people were in the building.
In parallel to the
extinguishing work
, important files from the
registry office
, which is located on the ground floor of the building, had to be brought to safety by the fire brigade.
A fire spread into the directly adjacent new town hall was prevented.
Targeted ventilation measures also largely counteracted the entry of smoke.

from Sauerlach, Arget, Altkirchen, Hofholding, Brunnthal, Siegertsbrunn and the district
fire
inspection with a total of around 110 people are involved in extinguishing the fire.
In addition to the rescue service, the police and the Munich Land ABC train were also on duty.

The
fire in the old town hall
is one of the most recent series of building fires in the district. Last Sunday, January 10th, a barn in Taufkirchen burned down. On Tuesday morning, fire broke out in a house in the Luitpoldsiedlung in Hohenbrunn. Emergency services also had to move to an asylum center in Aschheim. There were seven residential containers in flames on Thursday night.
