On the stage of theaters and cultural centers in the governorates, the performances of the Children's Theater Festival organized by the Directorate of Theaters and Music at the Ministry of Culture, including various theatrical works directed to children during the recess, were launched.
Abdel Salam Badawi, Director of the Child and Puppet Theater at the Cultural Lisa, explained that among the tasks of the child's theater at this stage is to raise awareness, as art keeps pace with the moment and has an accurate history of it, pointing out the importance of holding these festivals through which the theater presents educational and awareness messages.
Badawi pointed to the participation of the Theaters Directorate with new works in addition to the renewal of performances from the past years, noting the importance of the participation of private teams in the festival to interact between these teams and their counterparts affiliated with the Ministry of Culture, which in his opinion achieves an exchange of ideas and directing the private sector towards committed theater.
He pointed out the directorate’s keenness to adhere to preventive measures during performances by ensuring social distancing and sterilization, stressing at the same time that the theater can still take the child from technology for his ability to interact, and that serious work within the educational and educational theater offers luxury, fun and benefit to children.
