Clashes broke out today (Friday) between police and protesters over crime in Arab society in Umm al-Fahm.
The demonstrators blocked the entrance to the city, threw stones at the police near the police station and set fire to tires.
The police, on the other hand, tried to break up the demonstration using stun grenades and gas.
"Hundreds of demonstrators at noon blocked Road 65 at the entrance to Umm al-Fahm," MK Yosef Jabarin (joint list) said in response.
We will continue our protest in the face of police and government raised in their duty to maintain our personal security.
This is our basic right to life. "
