Chancellor Angela Merkel and the prime ministers will be discussing further measures in the corona crisis next week.
The meeting was actually only planned for Monday the week after next, January 25th.
In view of the dynamics of the pandemic, the meeting should now take place on Tuesday.
The government spokesman Steffen Seibert announced.
In the round it should be about whether and how the corona restrictions should be tightened again in view of the continued high incidence values.
Merkel has already sounded out in discussions with her ministers which measures are still possible.
There are discussions about the reintroduction of border controls, an obligation to wear FFP2 masks in local public transport and when shopping.
Requirements for companies to let more employees work from home are also discussed.
According to several participants, Merkel rejected a report in the "Bild" newspaper, according to which the Chancellery was thinking about the discontinuation of local and long-distance public transport.
