She criticizes: "The system should have recognized that my father-in-law is actually not allowed to go to Haar." But the system did not answer, instead the written confirmation of the dates for the father and father-in-law came in Haar.

But Schubert wanted to be absolutely sure.

There they reacted quickly, the next morning an employee of the health department called and apologized for the process.
That Hermann R. was rejected is regrettable and not in the interests of the district authority.
The authorities apologized for the situation on site.

According to the health department, the vaccination centers were contacted and asked to make employees aware of such situations.
Julia Krill, press spokeswoman for Malteser, also
apologized on behalf of her organization:
“We cannot understand how the confirmed date came about.
We are instructed to only vaccinate people from the communities assigned to us at the Haar vaccination center. ”The telephone information that R. in Haar could receive the vaccination was not correct.

Lisa Schubert's district office reassured that the vaccination dose that had become available was of course not destroyed, but inoculated in some other way.
In future, it should no longer be technically possible for a citizen with a “wrong” postcode to get an appointment at a vaccination center that is not responsible for him.
