There is no excuse for Sabine Laermann: she takes a bath in Tegernsee every day - even in winter.
On Thursday she had to shovel her way to the lake for the first time.
Tegernsee
- This hobby is only for the daring - and yet, especially in the Corona winter, more and more people are discovering the trend of ice bathing for themselves.
Someone who is already very familiar with the cold kick is Sabine Laermann from Tegernsee.
The 63-year-old has been swimming every day - without exception and regardless of the weather - in Tegernsee for about four years.
On Thursday she had to use the snow shovel for the first time to pave her way into the freezing water.

“Today it wasn't that extreme,” says Laermann succinctly, referring to the outside and water temperature on Thursday.
The thermometer in Tegernsee is currently showing between two and three degrees, but Laermann doesn't even get goose bumps when diving down.
"I never feel cold for a second," says the former teacher, who even does without a towel and bathrobe when shoveling in order to acclimate herself for her bath.
The Tegernsee woman only has a cap on her head so that she doesn't get too cold at this point.
Unlike many like-minded people who are currently gathering mainly in Munich to indulge their ice-cold passion, Laermann doesn't just dive into the cold water for a moment or stay there.
"I swim out for about ten minutes in the direction of the Wiesse church," she reports.

The woman from Tegernsee follows with interest that her hobby is gaining more and more fans.
She has also exchanged photos with like-minded people.
At her traditional lake access - near the lake sauna - she has so far remained alone with her passion.
