Today, Italian Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte issued a new decision to extend the restrictions imposed to contain Covid 19 cases, after the Ministry of Health warned of the increasing spread of the epidemic.
Reuters reported that the new decision extends the imposition of a night curfew until the fifth of next March from ten in the evening until five in the morning and confirms the activation of the zoning system that was put in place last November to determine the restrictions imposed in 20 regions according to the level of the epidemic in them.
The decision also extends a ban on travel between regions until next February 15, when it is allowed only for reasons related to work, health, or any other emergency.
Health Minister Roberto Speranza told Parliament that last week there was a general worsening of the epidemic.
The daily number of recorded injuries stabilized at a level between 15,000 and 20,000, compared to a peak of 40,000 in mid-November, but the rate of pressure on hospitals is still high.
Between 400 and 600 people infected with the disease die every day, while the government fears that this toll will rise, as Italy recorded 477 deaths from the virus today, compared to 522 cases yesterday.
